Altered Data as the result of the installation of Ad & Pop-up Blocking and Internet Security programs
Missing Links to ADs

The Symantec (Norton) Technical Staff has explained that they intend to be very aggressive in their pursuit of offensive Internet Content.
Therefore, anything that even remotely looks like "ad" or "ads" is blocked. As a result they have offended some major organizations, among then;
Siemens, ABC News, CNN, ESPN, MSN, Apple, Excite, Nextel and Microsoft -- the list goes on. These major players have persuaded Norton
to specifically exclude them in the Norton Program Defaults. We are trying to get on that list; so far without any luck.
In the meantime there are two choices; turn off AD and/or Pop-up Blocking in the Internet Security Control Panel,
or manually add "airresearch.com" to the exclusion list. To do that, follow the steps below.

In the Internet Security Control Panel; click on Options | Internet Security | Web Content, then at the bottom click on "Add Site" button
and enter "airresearch.com". "airresearch.com" will be added to the list in the white box. Then, with "airresearch.com" highlighted, click on the
"Ad Blocking" tab and then the "Add" button a the bottom. Set the "Permit" Radio Button and enter "airresearch.com" in the white box.
Click on "OK" and then "OK" again. In the three versions of Symantec (Norton) Internet Security that we have, that fixed the problem.
It is possible that other versions may have slightly different steps. The goal, however, is the same; get "airresearch.com" added to the exclusion list.

The Symantec (Norton) Technical Staff has provided an explanation for the recent problem of "Missing Links".
We, as you know, are in the AD (Airworthiness Directive) business, and the use of the letters "ad" triggers their Advertisement "Pop-up" blocking.
The near-term fix can now be changed form turning off the Norton Internet Security System to ONLY turning off the Ad Blocking feature.
The Symantec (Norton) Technical Staff is working on a permanent and more user transparent fix to the issue.
These issues are not affected by the use of the Antivirus System.

The "Missing Links" problem while using Norton Internet Security has now been reproduced consistently.
We know what is happening, however, no one at Norton seems to know why !!
For the moment, the solution is still the same: "Disable" only the top function on the Norton Control Panel (Internet Security).
Then Refresh or Reload the page. You may have to clear cache to avoid simply reloading the Page stored on your computer.
Netscape and MS-IE treat cache differently. If you don't know how to clear cache or in the case of MS-IE, delete temporary Internet files,

The problems with the Norton Internet Security Package continue. Since we have have not heard of the "Missing Links" problem in several months, we assume that current versions of the Norton Package have that problem fixed. We now have one case of the RTF problem with a recent release of the Norton Package. The problem arises when you start the download of an RTF (AD or other file that we provide in RTF to reduce the file size). Your Browser will act like the download is done, but display a blank white screen. The solution is the same as that for the earlier problem -- turn off ONLY the Internet Security portion of Norton, leaving the Virus Protection in place. The user who encountered this problem was using Windows ME and AOL, either of which could have contributed to the problem.
We have made Norton aware of the issue.
