News: Happy Birthday - and New TCDS and PMA features! - 05/29/2026
Hello! We have some updates about our services.
Happy 250th, America!
We hope you have an extra special Independence Day on this 250th Anniversary of America's founding! We know many of you personally put it all on the line to make that possible - and we thank you and remember you.
New PMA/Parts Search Feature
Our PMA/Parts Search tool gives you fast access to a database of 1.8 million PMA approvals. You can search by OEM Part Number to find approved PMA alternatives to original equipment parts, by PMA Part Number to look up a specific approved part, or by Part Name + Model Applicability to find all available PMA parts for a given aircraft model and component type. Whether you're a repair station looking to reduce costs, an MRO shop sourcing approved alternatives, or a PMA parts manufacturer tracking the competitive landscape, the tool surfaces the most relevant results with highlighted match terms.
A fourth search mode — Part Number List / AD Search — lets you paste in an entire list of part numbers (from a spreadsheet or word processor) and cross-references them against the Airworthiness Directive (ADs) parts database in one pass. Each part number is matched against the AD record and returned with the associated manufacturer name, part name, and a direct link to the PDF of the applicable AD. Results with no AD match are clearly flagged, making it easy to quickly screen a large parts list for any outstanding airworthiness concerns.
Updated TCDS (Type Certificate) search tool
The new TCDS Database tool provides a structured, searchable interface to the FAA's full Type Certificate Data Sheet records. You can look up a TCDS by number or model name using the live search fields, or browse the entire database by aircraft category and manufacturer. Each TCDS record displays its complete revision history with dated links to the actual TCDS documents (both locally archived PDFs and FAA DRS links), the full list of certified models, the current TC holder, and any associated Special Conditions. The manufacturer browse mode can be toggled between current TC holders only and all current and former holders, making it easy to trace ownership history and name changes across a product line.
For deeper research, the By Manufacturer view groups all TCDS records under a single (corrected) manufacturer name, showing which certificates are currently active versus historical and surfacing any other associated manufacturers tied to the same certificate lineage. This is particularly useful for tracking acquisitions, name changes, and successor relationships in the type certificate chain — information that is difficult to navigate in the FAA's own DRS system.
Hopefully you will agree this is a big improvement over our old "static web page" TCDS feature.
